Xueiv - anagram of old -, was created in 1982 from an initiative of the association Vieillir autrement, mobilizing in the Nord and Pas-de-Calais regions "thousands of people, miners, farmers, trade unionists, retirees or high school students to reflect on aging... and on life itself ".
